Shipping essential donations to Kenya is a significant challenge, with current air freight costs ranging from £50 to £60 per barrel, plus collection fees. This cost is currently borne solely by our dedicated volunteers in London who manages the formalities and payments, severely limiting the volume we can send.
We aim to ship by pallet, at an average cost of £250 via air freight, plus collection fees. This would allow us to make a real difference in the many poverty-stricken villages and communities in Kenya.
Our Kenyan volunteers arrange and personally cover the cost of local distribution transport.
While you may not know Support The Children Kenya well, we humbly ask you to consider donating, however small the amount, towards these shipping costs. Even £3 would alleviate some of the burden on our shipping volunteers.
